  • Success!! Zoom session between students in Kenya and Elk Grove, CA We had a very successful over 90 minute zoom meeting with six students from Elk Grove and 7 students from Kenya last evening. We have sorted out the technical issues and had some great discussions with over 30 questions asked and answered. The students on both sides are so excited and look forward to many more in the future.

  • Soccer Field Work Continues Iruri Primary School is on the move once again!!! With students home because of COVID the leveling of the soccer field has once again resumed. Thank you Honorable Gachagua for supporting this project. Once school resumes in January, Iruri Primary School will be the proud host of sports events! Thank you Moses for sending the photos!!!

  • Supplies Distributed Our work continues at Iruri Primary School. While we can’t be there in person we can continue our necessary programs for this community and our students. The call was announced at church for the girls in the upper classes to come to school, masks on, to pick up necessary hygiene supplies. Thank you John Nyaga for organizing this distribution!!!

  • Covid-19 Impacts to our Scholarship Students Our new decade 2020 has made quite an unexpected entrance! Not one that any of us could have ever imagined. All schools in the entire country of Kenya, upon the first case of Covid 19 identified, were shut down in March and students sent home. Unlike our students, online education is not a possibility. Many of these students do not have electricity at home let alone laptops and computers.Our students and families at last report are all safe. Kenya has been able to contain the spread to some counties, including where our students live have been spared up to now. The economic impact with tourism at a halt and so many businesses shut down like ours, has really taken ...

  • New Uniforms for Grade 8! New school year....new uniforms for Class 8 who earned them by their performance at the end of term in 2019! Looking sharp! This is a big year for all of you.
