December 5th was a Wildlife Day for our top performing students at Iruri Primary School. The top three students in class 1 thru 8 were awarded by our non profit Iruri Primary School Sharing a Vision to a full day of Safari, lunch at Sweetwaters and a conservation lesson with each student planting a tree. Congratulations!!!! The day began with rain but cleared up. They saw lots of animals, visited Jane Goodall’s Chimp Sanctuary and the Rhino Sanctuary. A wonderful day! Dr Rob Bechtel and and top student on safari. The top students for the 2018 school year. Part of the conservation lesson is the planting of trees for reforestation. As they left Sweetwaters they saw a stalking lion! They had not seen one yet so they were thrilled as we headed to the Equator sign for a final photo. The lion had been walking this direction so we ran for a quick photo and ran back! They were so excited! Until next year. |
